LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Winter will make its first appearance in Louisville, and for much of the Ohio Valley, Sunday into Monday.

It will begin Saturday night as a cold front sweeps through the region producing a few light showers.

Behind this front the cold air will move down across the commonwealth with temperatures stuck in the 40s on Sunday and wind chills in the 30s.

To go along with the cold temperatures it's going to be a dreary day with mainly cloudy skies and some light drizzle on and off throughout the day.

The coldest air arrives Monday morning as lows will bottom out near 30 in the metro, while many outlying communities will fall into the 20s, with some spots dropping into the teens for wind chills.
