CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Amid pressure by a local firefighters union to terminate city manager Tiffany Fell, the Clarksburg City Council met Thursday to discuss several key issues, including a possible revival of the Harrison County YMCA.
In a 4-1 vote, the council approved a $10,000 funding request from Healthy Harrison to hire professional consultants to conduct a comprehensive feasibility and viability study. The study will look into whether reopening the long-closed YMCA is financially and structurally possible, and if there’s enough community support to bring the facility back into operation.
