If you have plans to travel this holiday season, you may want to reconsider. The Federal Aviation Administration will be reducing the number of flights at 40 major airports across the United States, if the government shutdown continues.

This comes as the shortage in air traffic controllers grows, leading to more and more flight delays. "We do recognize that the controllers have been working fastidiously for the last five weeks with this huge burden over their head of lack of compensation. We are starting to see some evidence that that fatigue is building in the system in ways that we feel we need to work towards relieving some of that pressure," said FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford.
