South Australia's Health Minister has apologised to a patient who was ramped outside hospital in an ambulance for several hours, and says the government is "absolutely still committed" to reducing ramping.
It comes with the release of ambulance ramping data for October, which revealed 3,948 hours were lost to ramping.
The figure is a six-month low but is higher than the same month last year.
Health Minister Chris Picton said fixing ramping was still a priority for the government.
"We will use every possible lever that we can to make sure patients can get the care that they need and reduce ramping across the system," he said.
Mr Picton revealed an apology had been issued to a patient who the SA ambulance union said was ramped for so long that a second crew needed to take over.
