PHOENIX — One person was seriously injured in a shooting in west Phoenix on Thursday night.

According to police, a man was found with one gunshot wound near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

He was taken to a nearby hospital.

The area around the intersection, which includes various businesses, will be closed as detectives investigate the incident.

No suspect has been arrested for the act of violence.
