Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Cody Hiland filed Thursday at the state Capitol to seek election to Position 6 on the state’s seven-member high court in the 2026 elections.
In addition, Democratic candidates James “Rus” Russell III of Little Rock and Steven Layne O’Donnell of Hot Springs filed their paperwork Thursday to seek their party’s nomination for the 4th Congressional District seat held by Republican Bruce Westerman of Hot Springs. Westerman filed Monday to seek reelection.
Thursday was the fourth day for candidates for state and federal office to file to run in the 2026 elections.
