PORTLAND, Ore. — A second suspect has been arrested and is facing a murder charge over the 2022 shooting death of a Somali refugee .

Portland police, along with the Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team, arrested 41-year-old Kaesha Green on Wednesday. The Portland woman was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center and lodged on a second-degree murder charge.

Police did not specify Green's role, only saying that she had been involved in the fatal shooting of Shaani Mohamed, adding that Mohamed's family has been notified of the arrest.

On March 27, 2022, officers responded to a shooting call near Northeast Milton Street and Northeast 82nd Avenue, finding Mohamed with gunshot wound. Despite life-saving attempts, he did not survive. He was 39 years old.
