Dr Amir Khan spends life straddling two very different worlds. “I’ve had days where I bump into David Beckham or Eva Longoria in the corridors of ITV, then I get the train back up to Bradford for afternoon surgery. It often coincides with the day I do vasectomies, so I’ll be elbow-deep in balls,” he laughs. “I still can’t believe this has all happened to me, really.”
He may be a staple on ITV’s Lorraine and Good Morning Britain , but Khan still works full-time at a GP surgery in the community where he grew up. He says it feels somewhat jarring when he is recognised at work for being on the telly. “It’s bizarre. In my head the two worlds are separate. But when I go out into the waiting room, the patients are always surprised that it’s me. Some of them ask for selfies, which is crazy
