Peloton is recalling more than 800,000 of its connected exercise bikes, specifically the original "Bike-Plus PL02 model."
The Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that the seat post assembly on these bikes can break, posing a risk of falling and injury.
Peloton reported receiving three incidents of the seat post breaking and detaching, resulting in two injuries from falls.
These bikes were sold at Peloton and Dick's Sporting Goods stores across the U.S., as well as on various websites from January 2020 through April this year.
Bike owners are advised to stop using the bikes immediately and contact the company for a free replacement seat post that owners can install themselves.
