FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A federal judge is ordering the Trump Administration to fully pay this month's SNAP benefits by Nov. 7 - that means 42 million Americans could wake up with money on their EBT cards.
Fresno City Councilmember Nelson Esparza said that’s a positive sign, but a local pastor isn’t getting his hopes up.
“We’ll believe it when we see it. And I mean that because a lot of people are talking, but there's no action,” Pastor at Free AME Church Dr. Floyd D. Harris said. The news of a Rhode Island judge ordering the Trump Administration to pay out SNAP benefits doesn’t give him hope.
“People are hoping that funds would be on their cards. If it's not, then who can we really believe now in the richest country in the world,” Pastor Harris said.
