Mysuru: Yet another tragic incident of human-wildlife conflict was reported on Friday morning when a farmer was killed by a tiger in Hale Heggudilu village of Sarguru taluk in Mysuru district.
The deceased has been identified as Danda Nayaka. The tiger attacked the 58-year-old while he was working on his farm, reportedly eating his thigh and severely injuring his head.
With this latest incident, three farmers have lost their lives to tiger attacks in the district in a month, while another farmer is currently fighting for his life in a private hospital.
Residents of the area expressed fear, saying they are living with constant danger from tiger attacks. Forest Department officials have visited the site and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
