MYSURU, CHAMARAJANAGAR: A 52-year-old farmer, was killed in a tiger attack while working in his field in Hale Heggodilu village in Sargur taluk of the district. The tiger dragged Dandanayaka’s body for about half a kilometer and partially consumed his thigh and head.
This is the fourth tiger attack in Mysuru district within a month, with three fatalities and one person fighting for life. The incident has sparked outrage among villagers, who protested and attempted to attack Range Forest Officer (RFO) Amrita when she visited the scene. The Forest Department has launched a search operation to capture the tiger.
Meanwhile, safari activities have been halted at Melukamanahalli in Bandipur following the attacks, with authorities citing concerns over human safety. Forest Minister Eshwar Khandr
