Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fans may be a little annoyed after the Spaniard was snubbed for Manager of the Month.

Arteta lost out to Manchester United’s Ruben Amorim despite winning every game in October without a goal conceded.

The Basque native has made his Arsenal side solid Premier League title favourites, but Amorim’s Old Trafford resurgence has been favoured as the bigger achievement last month.

The Portuguese similarly won three from three during the month, and has been rewarded for taking the struggling giants out of crisis mode.

Aston Villa’s Unai Emery and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola were the other candidates, with the former also winning three from three, and Iraola recording two wins and a draw.
