Disgraced former New York congressman George Santos dramatically announced he will flee the Big Apple after socialist Zohran Mamdani won the mayoral election. “Good luck, New York. It was nice knowing you,” the pardoned Republican said in a video he posted on X hours after the Democratic socialist’s win was confirmed. “After 37 years, I’m out,” he said. “I’d rather the evil I know than the evil I don’t want to know.” Santos, who was jailed, then pardoned, for scamming donors and identity theft, had teased the move even before fellow Queens resident Mamdani won.
