Over the past few days, India's busiest airport has been grappling with suspected GPS spoofing incidents usually common in conflict zones or even along the sensitive India-Pakistan border. This week, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport experienced rare cases of GPS spoofing , where fake satellite signals were transmitted to mislead aircraft about their positions, causing flight diversions and congestion.

On Friday, too, nearly 400 flights were delayed , even though it was attributed to a technical glitch in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system. Its domino effect was felt across most airports in North India, impacting hundreds of other flights.
