DETROIT - Some of them haven’t seen each other in years, or even decades. Dozens of the greatest Detroit Red Wings players to ever lace up their skates are reuniting to celebrate 100 years of the organization.
The four-day Hockeytown Centennial FanFest kicked off yesterday at the MotorCity Casino Hotel and runs through Sunday, November 9.
The comic con-style event features all kinds of Red Wings related interactive activities, historic items and memorabilia.
There are also autograph sessions with more than 50 Red Wings greats like Sergei Fedorov, Nicklas Lidström, Chris Chelios, Steve Yzerman, Vladimir Konstantinov, and Tomas Holmström.
“It’s so much fun to see everybody,” Holmström told MLive while reconnecting with Dino Ciccarelli at their autograph session on Thursday.
