West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Agarwal on Friday informed that the process of clearing 12 months of pending salaries for Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) employees is moving into its final stages.

Speaking to media persons, Agarwal said, “Currently 1,463 GHADC employees have successfully received their 12-month arrears and has been overseeing the complex disbursement process, which began in late October,”.

While the majority of staff have been paid, DC Agarwal confirmed that a few employees are still awaiting statements due to departmental issues, and corrections for advance payments. For the recent October salary, 871 employees have been paid, and the remaining 500 are expected to receive their dues by the coming week.
