Unfortunately, since the beginning of the U.S. shutdown, we’ve seen all sorts of unacceptable behavior in national parks. For instance, Yosemite quickly turned into a lawless ground as BASE jumpers were spotted jumping off of El Capitan .
According to an article by the National Park Traveler, a case of vandalism has been reported at Arches National Park. Here, graffiti was spotted in several locations, proving once again the importance of closing down national parks during shutdowns.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time a NPS site has been vandalized since October 1, when the shutdown began. Here is how much the latest case of vandalism may cost, which other NPS site was affected, and the penalties for those caught in the act.
