INDIANAPOLIS — Dozens of employees with the Indiana Department of Health are expected to be furloughed if the government shutdown remains in effect.
Exactly 48 state employees have been notified that they may be furloughed effective Sunday, Nov. 9, according to a media spokesperson from the IDOH.
According to a report from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the activities prohibited during the government shutdown include the following: • Standard Surveys • Certain Revisit Surveys • Initial Surveys • Initial Certification • Certain Complaint Investigations • Minimum Data Set or OASIS • Informal Dispute Resolutions • Trainings on Quality Safety and Education Portal and the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test • Processing of Certification Actions • New CMP-Fun
