Amidst differences over Sanju Samson getting ignored yet again in the fourth T20 against the Aussies, former Indian seamer Zaheer Khan came out with his response on the topic.

Zaheer Khan:

“Sanju is not a youngster anymore. Despite being offered chances at times, he has not been able to shine, save his three centuries. The inconsistency is the cause of selectors ignoring him.

BCCI is grooming Gill to be the new Indian Captain in all formats. For the same reason, it is pertinent not to avoid Gill for any game. If the plan succeeds, the gain will be for Team India. So one can’t question the move to replace Sanju from his opening batsman role.”
