HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Mary Lanning Healthcare’s interim CEO said creating a stable financial plan is his top priority as the hospital navigates the challenges facing rural healthcare facilities.
David Zechman was appointed to the interim position in late September . During a Thursday interview, he outlined his goals for the organization and discussed the financial pressures common to rural hospitals.
“Rural hospitals are challenged financially. It’s just what the nature of healthcare business,” Zechman said. “So, we want to make sure that they’re predictable and then we can manage to them. And we have to obviously make sure that we build in all the, maybe, what ifs, kind of thing that happen all the time in healthcare.”
