City of Lincoln includes new texting option to pay for parking meters

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The City of Lincoln recently announced a new and convenient way to pay for parking meters around town.

Now, instead of using coins or the Passport Parking app to pay, drivers can simply text “Park” to 30844 to kick off their session.

Other payment options will still exist alongside the texting service.

Signage on meters will be available with instructions on how to pay through the new option.
