EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — Gov. Ned Lamont and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz addressed running for a third term in office while speaking to the press on Friday.
"Susan and I are ready to go," Lamont said when asked if he was running.
He told reporters the paperwork was being filed "as we speak" during the midday media availability. Lamont emphasized that more details will be revealed next week.
"We had some really impactful municipal elections, and we're glad they are over with. The people of Connecticut have spoken very loudly. And now we can think about what's next," Bysiewicz said when asked why the filing was taking place now and not earlier this year.
The governor addressed the media after a press conference announcing a bipartisan bill on affordable housing, to be brought to legislators d
