The Olympic compressed-schedule continues to take its toll on the Canucks. We have another weekend with back-to-back home games, Columbus at Rogers Arena on Saturday and Denver on Sunday.

This begins a fairly treacherous trail for the Canucks. The Blue Jackets aren’t exactly contenders, but they’ve got a similar record to the Canucks and have gone 6-4 in their last 10. After that it’s the Avs and Jets at home, both true Cup contenders and then while Carolina, Tampa Bay and Florida aren’t at the top of the standings yet, they are all in the tier of true favourites to win the Cup, two-time-defending-champions the most obvious example of that.
