From time to time, a good tip comes my way. This is not the kind of tip that a server would receive for good service at a restaurant. It’s the kind of tip where someone suggests a good place to eat or, the converse of that, a place to avoid.

Recently, I received a tip about an Italian restaurant that I did not know even existed. Because I’m a big fan of pizza and pasta, this came as a surprise. The reason I was unaware of this place is that it’s tucked away in the back of a liquor store. You walk through the front door of the liquor store to get to the restaurant. Quik Liquor is at 4949 State Highway 43, a short distance south of the Petro truck stop. ×
