CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage School District is creating a school farm for agriculture education on land recently purchased on the east side of the high school campus.

The Carthage Board of Education approved a plan from administrators to seek bids on clearing the property of brush and undergrowth, removing barbed wire fencing and preparing the site for new fencing. The Board also approved purchasing a tractor with a mower, disc, bale spear, grapple and rock rake for $108,583 to use on the school farm starting in 2026. ×
