DAVISON TWP, MI - The precautionary boil water advisory issued earlier this week for parts of Davison Township has been lifted, according to the Genesee County Drain Commissioner’s Division of Water and Waste Services.
The advisory was put in place after a water main break near Irish Road and Court Street caused a loss of pressure Wednesday, Nov. 5. Repairs have since been completed, and water testing confirmed the system is safe.
County officials said two consecutive rounds of 24-hour testing were conducted from samples collected in the affected area, including neighborhoods along Irish Road between I-69 and the railroad tracks. Both rounds showed results within normal parameters for safe drinking water, allowing the advisory to be lifted Friday afternoon.
