This weekend UK will see a "brief respite" from rainy, unsettled conditions after a week dominated by constant rain, according to the Met Office's latest forecast.
Although low pressure will remain in charge over the weekend, the systems are expected to move across the country quicker, meaning there will be longer dry periods in between any rainfall.
The Met Office weekend forecast reads : "After a week dominated by persistent rainfall, particularly across the west and southwest, the UK is set for a weekend that offers a welcome, if brief, respite from the unsettled conditions.
