One of the most anticipated films of the year (maybe the decade?) has to be Wicked: For Good. The first film only adapted the Broadway musical’s first act, ending with Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo) embracing her rebel status in Oz, and singing “Defying Gravity.” Jon M. Chu’s upcoming Wicked: For Good now covers the second act. But Act II is significantly shorter than Act I. The first act has eleven songs, and the second has eight. So the producers of Wicked: For Good have added two new Wicked songs, both from original composer Stephen Schwartz. And Universal has released brief snippets of both.

The first new Wicked: For Good song previewed is an Elphaba number, called “No Place Like Home.” This is, of course, a direct callback to Judy Garland and the original 1939 Wizard of
