Baltimore County fire officials are investigating an odor at Perry Hall Middle School on Friday afternoon.

The department posted on X shortly before 2:30 p.m., stating that children in the school in the 4300 block of Ebenezer Road are not in “immediate danger,” adding that parents were not asked to come to the school. Fire units are working with the school administration, according to the post.

A message from Perry Hall Middle Principal Justin Benjamin, sent to the school community, states that administrators were notified of an “unusual odor” at 1:30 p.m. The school implemented its evacuation procedures as a precaution, he wrote.
