Heavy fire, thick smoke billows from building in North Baltimore, SKY 11 reports

There are heavy flames and smoke billowing from a two-alarm fire in North Baltimore, SKY 11 reported.

Baltimore City firefighters were called Friday afternoon to a building on 23rd Street east of the Jones Falls Expressway.

Firefighters have evacuated the building and are conducting defensive operations to fight the fire.

The Maryland Transit Administration is implementing a temporary southbound detour for the LocalLink 94-Fort McHenry bus until 5 p.m.
