MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas -- A Mount Pleasant ISD teacher's aide has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of an improper relationship with a student on another campus.
Jaquaven Rogers, 27, is charged with child grooming, improper relationship between an educator and student and sexual assault of a child. He was booked into the Titus County Jail.
Rogers, who was a special education teacher's aide at P.E. Wallace Middle School, has been fired.
The school district was made aware of the allegations Friday morning. Mount Pleasant Police Department detectives responded to the school and determined there was probable cause to arrest Rogers, the police department said Friday in a news release.
The investigation is ongoing.
