BOSSIER CITY, La. -- Multiple agencies are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting Monday night that left a man injured.

Bossier City police Sgt. Shawn Poudrier said two officers were dispatched to the Heart O'Bossier Shopping Center on Old Minden Road for a suspicious person call.

Officers located a man who was armed, Poudrier said.

Poudrier did not have immediate information about what caused the officers to shoot him.

"I know he was not abiding by officers' commands," Poudrier said.

The man was taken to Ochsner LSU Health with non-life threatening injuries, Poudrier said.

No officers were injured.

Louisiana State Police are on the scene and will take over the investigation, Poudrier said.
