ATLANTA — The City of Blue Ridge has lifted a boil water advisory on Friday following a water main break Thursday that interrupted service to customers with Blue Ridge addresses.

The City Water System received sample results for the boil water advisory Friday, according to a note on the City's website. All results were clear and the boil water advisory has been lifted.

The advisory impacted all city water customers in Blue Ridge. Mineral Bluff customers were not affected.

City officials said the advisory was issued out of caution due to potential microbial contamination from the loss of positive pressure in the system.
