An Edmonton Oilers trade appears to be coming any day now, but who will be on the move remains to be seen.
The Oilers are getting close to activating Zach Hyman off of long-term injured reserve, as the 34-year-old is nearly fully recovered from a fractured wrist suffered in the Western Conference Final.
There’s just one problem, however. They don’t currently have the cap space to activate him.
Oilers management has been working the phones lately, trying to find a trading partner to help them open up some cap space. It’s been reported that both Troy Stecher and Ty Emberson are candidates to be moved, though it sounds as if there are a few forwards who could be headed out as well.
“They are going to have to juggle a few things financially,” David Pagnotta said on the Daily Faceoff Rund
