SAINT ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office cruiser was involved in a two-vehicle collision Friday in St. Albans, according to information released by the sheriff’s department.

The crash happened at the intersection of Kanawha Terrace and Walnut Street. Officials say the deputy who was driving the cruiser was not hurt.

The driver of the second vehicle reported minor injuries and was taken from the scene for medical evaluation.

According to the sheriff’s office, early findings from witness accounts and video indicate that the second vehicle ran a red light before the collision occurred.

The cruiser had been traveling east on Kanawha Terrace at the time, while the other vehicle was heading south on Walnut Street.
