Joplin High School Of all the holidays we celebrate, Veterans Day holds a special place in my heart. It’s not just a day off from school; it’s a day to remember and thank the brave men like my brother and women who served in the U.S. armed forces. They are heroes who protect our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day. One of the biggest reasons I love Veterans Day is that it reminds us of the incredible sacrifices these people have made. They leave their families and friends for months or even years at a time to protect our country. They also leave their little brother a room for a little. ×
