KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is thanking teamwork and technology for helping with the arrest of a drunk driver on Wednesday.
After a deputy tried to stop a vehicle with no headlights near N.E. Parvin Road and N. Belmont Avenue just after midnight Wednesday, the driver fled from police and eventually crashed into the back of a parked semi truck’s trailer.
The driver then got out of his vehicle and ran into Worlds of Fun.
With the help of the amusement park, checking its cameras and getting a rough idea of where the suspect was inside the park, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said they used a drone with heat-sensing to find the man.
Tests later showed that 22-year-old Reginald L. Finch’s blood alcohol content was over the legal limit. Finch was charged with
