LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigators announced Friday they have seized a handful of vehicles whose registrants allegedly took part in illegal street takeovers in East Los Angeles following the Dodgers dramatic World Series-clinching victory.

As thousands of Dodgers fans took to the streets Saturday night to celebrate the team’s second consecutive championship, “some fans let the moment get the best of them,” according to a sheriff’s department statement.

“Chaos ensued when several drivers were observed by deputies driving their vehicles in a reckless manner,” according to the department. “Several vehicles were utilized to conduct street takeovers and perform burnouts and donuts in the middle of multiple intersections, putting other motorists and celebrating
