MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Fitchburg woman is accused of driving while impaired and having heroin in her car after she crashed Thursday night on Madison’s south side, police said.
MPD reports the rollover crash happened after 7:05 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Allied Drive and Thurston Lane.
Officers reported seeing cans of unopened beer in the car.
When MPD spoke to the driver, they said she showed signs of being impaired. Police also reported finding heroin in her pocket.
Officers arrested her after they said she performed poorly on a field sobriety test. MPD took her to a hospital to get a blood draw for evidence.
Police said Angela Stevens, 45, was booked at the Dane County Jail on expected charges of second OWI offense and possession of heroin.
