BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — In an effort to address the growing concerns of unfair trade practices across the country, the North Dakota Insurance Department is warning all health insurance companies and producers offering Medicare products against practices that unfairly change compensation structures or restrict consumer access.
The department issued a bulletin to insurers and producers offering Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Cost Plans, and Prescription Drug Plans to North Dakotans.
This bulletin follows a national warning issued by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and other state regulators, which have raised similar concerns.
