PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – If you’ve been thinking about getting a dog, now is a good time.
Multnomah County Animal Services’ facility in Troutdale is at a “critical” overcapacity as its intake numbers continue to outpace its adoption rates, according to the county.
The facility has a maximum capacity of 92 dog kennels, but currently houses 103 on site. As of Friday, the shelter is caring for 128 dogs and puppies — and more than 60 of those animals are available for immediate adoption or voluntary foster care.
