The Trump administration announced on Nov. 7 that it will be providing full SNAP benefits for the month of November , and a spokeswoman for Gov. Dan McKee said they are expecting word soon on when that money will start flowing to the over 140,000 Rhode Islanders who depend on that federal food aid.

"We are going to put in for 100% benefits for everybody on SNAP later today," McKee spokeswoman Laura Hart told The Journal.

"We hope to have more information soon on when this funding will be available on EBT cards."

That statement came soon after the Trump administration sent word it was working to comply with a federal judge’s order to provide full SNAP benefits for November to the program’s 42 million recipients amid the government shutdown
