LIV Golf is changing its format.
One Metro Detroit golf resort is hoping the tour stays the course for its season-ending team championship.
The Cardinal at Saint John’s, which hosted LIV Golf’s finale in 2025, remains in talks with LIV Golf about bringing the tournament back for the 2026 season, a club official told The News this week. There is no timetable for a decision, course and tour officials said.
“We are continuing to discuss with LIV Golf the possibility of LIV returning in 2026,” said Kevin Doyle, chief operating officer for the Pulte Family Foundation, the charitable wing that benefits from Saint John’s Resort. “We are optimistic about reaching an agreement for a return, but there is nothing to report at this time.”
