COLUMBIA — South Carolina women's basketball is set for its second home game of the season, hosting yet another former assistant coach for Dawn Staley .
After opening the season with a 94-54 win against Grand Canyon University on Nov. 3, coached by former assistant Winston Gandy, the No. 2 Gamecocks host Bowling Green on Nov. 7 (7 p.m. ET, SEC Network+).
Bowling Green is led by Fred Chmiel, who was Staley's assistant from 2015-23. The Gamecocks and Falcons have met twice before with South Carolina winning both matchups.
Staley's trio of starting guards in Raven Johnson, Tessa Johnson and Ta'Niya Latson combined for 50 points in the season opener. All five starters scored 11 or more.
