COLUMBIA — South Carolina women's basketball freshman guard Agot Makeer left with an injury with around three minutes left in the third quarter on Nov. 7 and didn't return.
Coach Dawn Staley said, "I mean she's not crying so that's a good thing" after the 114-47 win over Bowling Green but didn't give any specifics about the injury.
Makeer was limping after a layup attempt and holding what looked to be her side or back. A foul was called on the play and she made one of two free throws before leaving the game and going to the locker room.
The No. 2 Gamecocks (2-0) were already down reserve point guard Maddy McDaniel, who injured her knee in the season opener on Nov. 3.
