GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - You can show your support for veterans through Operation Green Light.
The nationwide initiative is led by the National Association of Counties.
County buildings and landmarks are illuminated in green, showing support for veterans and raising awareness around the resources available to them.
“So here at Alachua County, we are the one-stop shop for the veterans that are coming into Alachua County, making it their home, to feel welcome and comforted, and know that the veterans have a space for them to have the resources, receive those services that they’ve earned,” said Olajuwon White, Alachua County Veterans Services Director.
Operation Green Light ends on Nov. 11, and you can share your participation on social media using the hashtag #operationgreenlight.
