DENVER (KDVR) — The back-and-forth on SNAP and other food benefit programs has been constant for the past few weeks, with news first coming that the funds could lapse in mid-October.
However, on Friday, news broke that the U.S. Department of Agriculture will release the full November funds to millions of Americans.
The news came even as President Donald Trump's administration asked a federal appeals court to block a judge's order for the full November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to be disbursed to roughly 42 million Americans, including 28 million children. Of that population, about 620,000 are Coloradans, and roughly half are children.
The Colorado Department of Human Services said it will submit a request to its SNAP payment vendor on Friday so beneficiaries can receive
