Princess Anne has touched down in Sydney ahead of her royal tour of the nation this week.

The royal touched down at Sydney Airport this morning as she prepares for her tour of Australia , which will include engagements across several cities.

The late Queen's daughter casually strolled into the airport arrivals gate before heading to her convoy.

She wore a navy blazer and a white shirt with matching pants.

The Princess's four-day visit is the first to Australia by a British royal since King Charles and Queen Camilla travelled here in October last year.

Her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, is joining her on her tour down under.

Engagements are planned for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra until Tuesday November 11.
