GRAND FORKS – The Spud Jr. is planning to make its new home along South Third Street in downtown Grand Forks after relocating from the other side of the Red River.
The new location for the restaurant will be 116 S. Third St., formerly the home of the Rhombus Guys Brewing Company taproom, according to an alcoholic beverage license application submitted by The Spud Jr. LLC to the city of Grand Forks.
The Spud Jr. announced on Oct. 13 it would be relocating from its previous location in East Grand Forks, which is set to become the site of a new marijuana dispensary. The building itself is owned by MNBowl LLC.
Rhombus Guys closed its taproom in 2023, when it also ceased brewing operations. The location has sat vacant since then.
